I find that most shared hosting plans to place unreasonable restrictions on resource utilization of their servers. Most of these have a huge performance impact on websites having more than one concurrent user.

So would suggest VPS (but cloud servers do give a very good cost advantage)

I personally use servers from DigitalOcean for my sites

To make the management easier I use Virtualmin/Usermin (which is a good alternative to Cpanel)
